OnePlus Devices getting the Andriod Marshmallow Update

Finally Oneplus Devices are getting the Andriod Marshmallow Update Scheduled by the Oneplus Administrators. Every oneplus fans are awaiting the Andriod M upgrade to the oneplus devices.

I’m a Oneplus one user myself and like every other fan like myself can’t help but be pleased with this news. As said by Carl in the oneplus forums, the Andriod M will be available for every oneplus devices built meaning the Oneplus One, Oneplus Two and the Oneplus X will be getting the Andriod Marshmallow upgrade soon.

For the OnePlus One, Cyanogen OS will be updating to Marshmallow in the first quarter of 2016. They created a community build of OxygenOS for the OnePlus One, but it isn’t what the product officially ships with. They will be updating the community build of OxygenOS for the OnePlus One when time allows.

The OnePlus 2 will also be updated in Q1, and the update will include the new standard Marshmallow API for the fingerprint sensor. They’ve heard requests for us creating an API for the current fingerprint implementation in OxygenOS, but have decided against this since we’re switching over to the standard Android M implementation soon.

They are working hard to bring Marshmallow as soon as possible to the OnePlus X, and will update you on a time frame at a later time. Check out the forum thread by this link : Marshmallow upgrade schedule for OnePlus devices
